September's Birthstone

Lapis Lazuli is one of September’s birthstones. Lapis Lazuli is, by gemological definition, 25-50% Lazurite with additional inclusions of Calcite, Pyrite, and Sodalite. There may be a wide range of other mineral or crystal inclusions, including Mica, but it is the blend of white, gold, and blue colours within a Lazurite matrix which defines the stone.

It helps bring a sense of serenity as well as clarity. It can help increase your sense of personal and spiritual power and is thought to help break curses. It is considered a stone of royalty and artistry.
