"HTA" stands for "heat treated amethyst", a variety of citrine that starts its life as amethyst or smoky quartz and then is transformed into various orange colours by human application of extreme heat. This specimen is an extra dark red orange, and is 895 grams in weight! It measures 18 cm across its longest dimension.
Citrine is connected to the energies of Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, and Scorpio, as well as Earth, Mars, Mercury, and the Sun. It is considered a birthstone of November and is also connected to the element of fire. Some connect it to Lughnasadh.
