This collection is full of ingredients, items, activity kits, books, and more to help you celebrate and connect to the Summer Solstice!

The 2025 Summer Solstice occurs on June 20th at 10:42 pm, Eastern Time. This means you might choose to celebrate Litha on the 20th or 21st, according to your own traditions. While today, we tend to consider solstice the beginning of summer, especially here in Canada, it was traditionally considered Midsummer in Europe!

It is considered to be a time to reflect on agricultural traditions as well as appreciating agricultural workers. It is also a time of change, coming into power, fertility, finding purpose, growing strength, life, light, manifestation, success, and unity. As well as being associated with various deities (such as Apollo, the Dagda, the Green Man, Loki, Lugh, Ra, Thor, & Zeus), it is also highly associated with fairies.

Litha is associated with the Sun, the beginning of Summer, the element of fire, and the middle of the day. Some associate it with the Ogham letter Úr; the colours of blue, gold, green, and red; the crystals of emerald, jade, lapis lazuli, and tiger's eye. Plants that are sometimes associated with Litha include: Beech, Chamomile, Elder, Galangal, Heather, Heliotrope, Holly, Laurel, Lavender, Linden, Oak, Mistletoe, Saffron, St. John's Wort, Vervain.
