This 4kg chunk is composed mostly of quartz and amethyst with a small amount of granite and about 15-20% mudstone. It weighs over 4kg and largely features dark purple amethyst up to 1 cm in size, some of which has a small amount of "red cap" or hematite inclusion at the tip, also known as "berry amethyst." There is also a small amount of lavender amethyst druze. We personally picked this piece up at Blue Point mine in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
