Jessica's Review:
This is one of the two books I chose to sample in order to gauge the quality of the Pagan Portals series. I find Patterson's book an easy read full of novel ideas, such as "drawing down the sun", and I do think she managed to be inclusive of the vast variety of magical pathways without getting vague in her advice. It covers a wide variety of topics and approaches, but none with a lot of depth. Like most books in this series, it is a lovely stepping stone in anyone's magical path.
