To use a ceramic oil diffuser, fill the top reservoir roughly half-way with water, add 2-4 drops of essential oil (2 for small rooms, 4 for large rooms), and then add a small candle (such as a tealight) inside the interior cavity and light it. The scent will diffuse throughout the room as the water heats up. To stop the diffusion, carefully blow out the light.
