Dwarf elder is a popular medicinal herb used for joint pain, colds, and infections. Its leaves have therapeutic properties and can be used for liver and kidney problems. The root is used for tea and can be effective against dropsy, but use with caution. Elderberries are rich in Vitamin C and other beneficial compounds. They have been used for magical purposes, and the tree has a long history in folklore. The Dwarf Elder has more powerful effects than the Common Elder, and its leaves are the primary part used. A berry rob (fruit juice thickened by cooking) is strongly purgative. In a tea, it has much milder, alterative effect.

Our herbs are sold for spiritual purposes only and not for consumption. While they are sourced from food and tea companies, we do not repackage them in a commercial kitchen and our repackaged product has not been approved by Health Canada for use as a food. WERE you to use elderberries as a food, you would be advised to cook or brew them at no less than 90°C in order to reduce any potentially toxic effect.

It should also be noted that, due to the way elderberries are grown and harvested, there is often a small amount of twig with the berries. If we were to pick out every twig, the cost would be much higher due to the amount of time and effort.

10 g bag is roughly equivalent to ~2 Tbsp. 100 g bag is equivalent to ~3/4 cups. You must contact us in order to place wholesale price orders, and they will take longer to fulfill.
