Brucite is the crystalline form of Mg(OH)₂. Hardness varies from 2.5-3. Colour can be white, pale green, blue, grey, yellow, orange, red, or brown. It is known to occur alongside marble, schist, dunite, serpentine, calcite, aragonite, dolomite, magnesite, and talc.
