There's been a lot of talk about the rare planetary alignment that's said to be coming up on June 3rd, called the Parade of Planets.

Sometimes, the sky gifts us an amazing show, such as the recent solar eclipse, and in this case the celestial event is six planets (Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, & Neptune) being visible in the night sky all at the same time, though some will require telescopes. However, like most celestial events, our ability to view it with the naked eye can depend a lot on weather, location, and timing. Being located in southern Ontario, we’re actually not likely to see the planets during their June 3rd alignment... because the sun would be rising during the 5:15 am timing that most apps give.

However, there’s some good news:

Firstly, just because we can’t see it doesn’t mean it won’t be happening. Astrologically, these planets will still be in alignment. This may create intense and confusing energies for those who are sensitive to it, but for those familiar with working with celestial energy, it will be incredibly powerful. Harnessing each planet's unique qualities can enhance communication, action, growth, discipline, innovation, and spirituality. Performing rituals or spells during this alignment can aid in personal development and transformative changes.

Secondly, the planets will actually continue to align in the wee hours of the morning every day for the remainder of the month, slowly creeping further and further back into pre-dawn hours. The best time to view the alignment, according to Scott Sutherland at The Weather Network, will actually be before morning twilight June 15-29th.

Lastly, while these six planets in this alignment isn’t all that common, planetary parades aren’t super rare either. The alignment will happen again in late August, and then other planetary alignments, including a SEVEN planet alignment with Venus, will occur a few times next year.

Personally, I find that all the planets will keep lining up again and again throughout June highly entertaining. It’s as if the stars themselves are throwing a Pride Parade this year!
