These amethysts, mined here in Ontario, have a hematized layer over top, changing them from deep purple and lavender colours to wine and rust colours. We've been calling them "berry" amethyst for their berry-like colour. As well as the typical qualities of amethyst, we also associate them with the quality of abundance.
These vary in size from 5-6.5 cm across their longest dimension, and weigh 40-100 grams. When ordering online, your piece will be intuitively chosen for you, and may not be one of the pieces in the picture.
